The Government has taken a major step toward resolving a long-standing issue affecting T&TEC workers.

Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities, the Honourable Clyde Elder, met with representatives of the Estate Police Association and T&TEC to address Cost of Living Allowance payments that have been outstanding for almost ten years.

Following what officials describe as productive dialogue, the Government has committed to bringing long-awaited closure to the matter—signalling its dedication to fairness, employee relations, and fulfilling obligations to the nation’s electricity workforce.

The Ministry says it will continue working with stakeholders to finalize arrangements and ensure workers finally receive the benefits owed to them.
