Former President of Congo, Joseph Kabila, has received a death sentence from a military court, for treason and war crimes.
The court also fined him $33 billion in damages, including compensation to the provinces of North and South Kivu and ordered his immediate arrest.
BBC News reported Mr Kabila was convicted in absentia for aiding Rwanda and the M23 rebels, who seized key cities earlier this year.
The former President has not been seen for months, and his party calls the verdict politically motivated.
