The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says escaped prisoner Jamal Joseph has been recaptured after receiving information from prison personnel.
Joseph staged a daring escape from the Carrera island prison on Friday, breaking out of his cell and crossing the waters into Chaguaramas.
A Prisons Officer spotted the escaped convict in the waters around Tembladora Park, Chaguaramas, and alerted police.
Police officers escorted the prisoner to a medical facility, as he had sustained multiple injuries during his escape.
Investigations on his escape continue.
