The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) says its mandate to create a level playing field for all citizens is reflected in the story of Christmas.
In its latest issue of Opportunity Knocks, the Tribunal stated that it operates within the legal framework to address the challenges of achieving equality.
“The season invites a deeper reflection on how the spirit of Christmas can be more fully realized through collective action. Beyond tradition, the holiday season challenges society to confront the social realities that test the very values Christmas embodies,” stated Justice Donna Prowell-Rahael, the Chairman and Judge of the EOC.
It says the Christmas season challenges society to confront the social realities that test the very values of the season.
“Through this engagement, Christmas can be more than just a seasonal festivity, it can become an opportunity to acknowledge past injustices, advance meaningful understanding, and work toward a future grounded in shared values that bridge diverse faiths and communities,” Justice Prowell-Rahael said.
The Tribunal says extended gratitude to all its team members and stakeholder for their support throughout the year.
