Record-breaking romantic blockbuster Saiyaara is heading to Netflix.
The Mohit Suri hit, starring debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, raked in over ₹550 crore (approximately 68.2 million USD) worldwide, becoming one of the most remarkable success stories in Indian cinema. The film’s success and cross-generational appeal has been attributed to its soulful music, relatable storytelling and fresh pairing of its leads.
Its OTT premiere is carded for September 12, about eight weeks after release.
The YRF film’s move to Netflix is unusual, as most of the YRF’s titles stream on Prime Video.
After dominating the box office with massive early-week collections, Saiyaara is now the year’s second biggest grosser overall, behind Chhaava.
