Nothing unites quite like music and for Raymond Ramnarine, a bond has now been formed with South Africa following two sold out shows.

Raymond, Dil-E-Nadan and Shivam Rajaram were recently in the African nation for performances in Durban and Johannesburg for the Chutney Fusion Festival 2025.

For Raymond, it was a triumphant return, having performed in the country as a solo act in 2024.

This time around, the full band was booked along with Rajaram.

Raymond told 103.1FM that it’s been a rewarding, historic and wildly successful trip.

Another highlight of the trip, specifically the Durban leg, was the presentation of an award to Raymond by the Sanatan Hindu Maha Sabha.

This was bestowed for his cultural contributions, and for “infusing spice into Durban’s cultural scene”.

Raymond has promised recaps and snippets of the overall experience on his and the band’s social media platforms in the coming days.
