Discussions on preparations for Carnival 2026 continued as Minister of Culture Michelle Benjamin hosted a stakeholder meeting at Queen’s Hall earlier today.
The meeting focused on security, public safety, crowd control, sanitation, healthcare and emergency response, mas and band operations, and public communications.
Minister Benjamin said early, inclusive planning is essential to ensure a safe, well-managed, and culturally authentic Carnival.
Representatives from Local Government, including Minister Khadijah Ameen and Port of Spain Mayor Chinua Alleyne, emergency services, cultural organisations, and health and security agencies attended the meeting.
