COSTAATT Reaffirms Commitment to Equity, Inclusion, and Respect

COSTATT has distanced itself from remarks made by an employee on social media.

The employee made racist remarks on his private social media page, which has been widely circulated online.

In a media release, COSTATT said the views expressed were on their personal social media and did not reflect the official position, values or views of the institution.

“COSTAATT is a public institution firmly committed to equal access to education and opportunity for all. The College does not condone racism, discrimination, or hate speech in any form. Respect for diversity, across race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and culture, is central to our mission and to the communities we serve,” a statement from COSTATT read.

The college also stated that it did not condone racism, discrimination or hate speech in any form.

“As an institution dedicated to education, social mobility, and national development, COSTAATT upholds principles of fairness, inclusion, and mutual respect, and expects all members of its community to act in a manner consistent with these values,” COSTATT stated.

The College said it was addressing the issue within its established policies and procedures.
