The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce is calling for stronger collaboration with Government on matters affecting the business community.
Chamber President Sonji Pierre-Chase says deeper engagement and open dialogue are essential to addressing key challenges facing the sector — particularly ongoing concerns over access to foreign exchange.
She emphasized that meaningful partnership between the public and private sectors is critical to driving solutions and supporting economic stability.
“Our issue is the extent of the collaboration, and the involvement of the private sector. in issues that affect the national community, or have a negative impact on business,” Pierre-Chase said.
“The collaboration has not been as effective or as structured as we would like it to be. The outcome we are hoping to achieve is that we do have more engagement and more collaboration.”
