Caribbean Airlines says it will continue operating its weekly flight to Havana, despite an ongoing fuel shortage affecting several airports in Cuba.

The state-owned airline confirmed it is aware of limited jet fuel availability at the airport in Havana and has already put measures in place to maintain service.

These include carrying extra fuel from Port of Spain to support its operations.

CAL told Guardian Media that it is monitoring the situation closely and remains ready to implement any additional contingency measures to ensure to ensure safe and reliable service.
