The body of 17-year-old Gabriel Nelson was recovered this afternoon at Grand Lagoon, Mayaro.
According to a Hunters Search and Rescue Team post, around 2:10pm, the body was found by fishermen from Mayaro who were searching the area using a fishing pirogue.
Nelson had gone missing after getting into difficulty while bathing last Sunday.
The recovery brought an end to several days of search efforts involving local fishermen and search teams.
