The Blind Welfare Association is urging all eligible individuals to apply for the free Disability Parking Permit.
The permit, which is issued in the name of the person with a disability, and not the driver, can be used in any vehicle.
It allows holders to park in designated spaces closer to buildings and services.
BWA Executive Officer Kenneth Suratt said the more permit holders there are, the stronger the advocacy for proper parking at public spaces, health facilities, shopping areas, and private businesses.
