SWMCOL says a fire at the Beetham Landfill has been contained and normal operations will resume on Monday.
The blaze, which started in the south-western area of the site on Saturday, was brought under control, but smoke may still affect nearby areas.
The company is advising members of the public, especially those with respiratory conditions, to exercise caution when travelling along the Beetham Highway and surrounding communities.
