The Barbados Defence Force has received US$750,000 35-foot patrol vessel from the United States.
This is the first of three vessel donations aimed at strengthening operational capacity and regional cooperation.
According to the Barbados Today, the vessel is expected to boost maritime awareness and rapid response capabilities, support joint security operations, and disaster response missions.
