A 7-year-old girl was killed after a jet ski crashed into her and her family at Pigeon Ppint today.
Angelica Jogie of Barrackpore was with her family in the area designated for bathers when, around 5pm, the jet ski crossed into the area and hit the group.
Angelica was rushed to hospital, but was later pronounced dead at the Scarborough General Hospital.
Speaking at a media briefing tonight, THA Chief Secretary said police are currently searching for the jet ski operator, who fled the scene after the incident.
He added that both the THA and TTPS were investigating.
To facilitate both investigations, the Buccoo Marine Park, which includes the Pigeon Point Heritage Park, will remain closed on Thursday.
