4 teams to compete in 2026 National Stick Fighting finals

Four teams will compete in the finals of the 2026 National Stick Fighting Competition.

This event will be held on Monday, February 9th, at the Moruga Multi-Purpose Youth and Sport Facility from 7pm.

Each team comprises three members who will showdown in fast-paced bois action.

The four competing teams are:

  • COUVA GAYELLE: Daniel Barclay (captain), Kenson Woods, Lebbeaus DeLeon.
  • RIO CLARO GAYELLE – Selwyn John (captain), Terrance Marcano, Jaevon Primus.
  • GLADIATORS – Oniel Odle (captain), Anderson Marcano, Sean Lange.
  • SPARTANS NO SURRENDER NO RETREAT – Denzil Harricharan (captain), Ainsley Alcia, Kesto Mc Intosh.

The announcement of the finalists by the National Carnival Commission comes after a hotly contested semi-finals on Wednesday, February 4th, at the Ojoe Road Recreational Ground, Sangre Grande.
