The Environmental Management Authority is inviting private sector organizations to step forward as nominations open for the Green Leaf Awards 2026.
The awards, now in their 26th year, recognize individuals and organizations whose environmental work has made a lasting impact in Trinidad and Tobago.
The EMA says the programme remains the country’s premier platform for celebrating excellence in environmental leadership and action.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating Sustainability in the Private Sector,” highlighting the role businesses play in promoting sustainable economic growth, building resilient communities, and addressing environmental challenges.
The awards align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the EMA’s Strategic Plan, which focuses on six priority areas under the National Environmental Policy.
Private sector organisations are encouraged to demonstrate leadership in areas such as ESG practices, waste reduction, environmental education, green technologies, community empowerment, and climate action.
The EMA says participation offers more than national recognition, as awardees gain visibility as leaders in environmental responsibility and help inspire wider private sector action.
Nominations close on March 20th.
