This Friday, the Consumer Affairs Division will host an expo on the Brian Lara Promenade in Port of Spain, in commemoration of World Consumer Rights Day.

The event from 10am to 5pm will see consumer protection agencies and related institutions sharing important and useful information under the global theme: “Fair and Responsible AI for Consumers.”

The Division says consumers can learn more about their rights and responsibilities, fair and responsible AI, meet consumer protection agencies and find useful e-commerce and traditional shopping tips.

Collaborators and exhibitors will include the Anti-illicit Trade Task Force, Legal Aid and Advisory Authority, the Office of the Financial Services Ombudsman, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Telecommunications Authority of T&T, Regulated Industries Commission, and the T&T Bureau of Standards, among others.

World Consumer Rights Day is commemorated on March 15th every year, as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs.
