UNC Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says her party has a constitution and will always act in accordance with it.

Her comment came today in response to a question regarding the party’s internal situation – some members have called for a date to be announced for the Natex Election, which is constitutionally due this year.

Mrs Persad-Bissessar assures that internal matters will be dealt with.

Earlier today, Naparima MP Rodney Charles said it was necessary that the internal election be held when constitutionally due.

Mayaro MP Rushton Paray has also called for a date to be announced for the poll.
