A 22 year old man from East Dry River, Port of Spain, has been charged for his son’s murder.

The child, who was one month short of being two years old, was taken to hospital on July 17th, and died shortly after.

A post-mortem showed the cause of death being Traumatic Brain Haemorrhage and Multiple Blunt Force Injuries.

Following this, Josiah Elijah David was arrested and charged. He returns to court on August 16th.

In another matter, a third suspect in the 2019 murder of Joshua Fortune has appeared in court, charged with the crime.

Fortune’s body was found with several gunshot wounds and almost four years later, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested, on July 27th.

Kevin Michael of St. James appeared in court yesterday, and he joins two other men, who were previously charged in this murder case.
