Former Australia spin bowler Stuart MacGill has been charged over his alleged role in a large cocaine supply scheme.

According to BBC News, MacGill, who played 44 Tests, was arrested on Tuesday in Sydney.

Investigations had begun when MacGill was allegedly abducted and beaten in 2021.

The former cricketer is yet to enter a plea but has previously denied being involved in supplying drugs.

MacGill has been released on bail and will return to court on October 26th, 2023.
