Final rites have been performed for 55-year-old Neil Ballai.

Ballai was killed when his Kiss van overturned after being hit by another car along the Solomon Hochoy Highway on March 28th.

A service was held at his Bassie Street home this morning, on what would have been his 32nd wedding anniversary.

Paying tribute were relatives, who remembered Mr Ballai as a kind, jovial person, who was loved by everyone.

Also speaking was St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen, who called for justice saying it will send a clear message to all motorists of the need to be responsible on the nation’s roads.

The service was attended by scores of relatives, neighbours and Mr Ballai’s colleagues at Kiss, where he worked for the past 17 years.
