Polymer paper and the impact of a cyberattack are two of several reasons behind a recent disruption in the issuing of birth certificates.

Following public complaints, the Office of the Attorney General issued a statement saying that the service would be restored by September 5th.

Speaking in the Parliament today, AG Reginald Armour confirmed that the service has resumed.

He was also asked about the reason for the disruption.

The cyberattack in question took place in early July, resulting in temporary disruptions at the AG’s Office and certain associated divisions.
