The UNC Stars team was announced over the weekend, which is the slate led by Kamla Persad-Bissessar, to contest the upcoming internal elections of the party.

Also over the weekend, a slate led by Mayaro MP Rushton Paray was launched called the United Patriots.

Mr. Paray says his slate embraces the widest membership to participate in the rebuilding and rebranding of the party.

The UNC Stars meanwhile says it has decades of experience and expertise to address the collapse of the nation’s key sectors in and out of Parliament.

This team, which includes several sitting MPs, is expected to make its official launch later tonight at the Couva South Hall.
