They are: Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Ambassador Todd D. Robinson and U.S. Department of Justice Associate Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Coordinator for Caribbean Firearms Prosecution Michael P. Ben’Ary.

In a statement, the U.S. Embassy says the visit underscores a commitment to increased cooperation with T&T’s law enforcement agencies towards combating illegal firearms and narcotics trafficking.

During the visit, Ambassador Robinson and ADAG Ben’Ary will meet with senior government officials to discuss collaborative strategies to strengthen regional security and combat transnational crime.

They will also meet with senior leaders of the CARICOM Implementational Agency for Crime and Security and visit the Crime Gun Intelligence Unit to further discuss the impact of illicit firearms trafficking in T&T and the region.
