From tomorrow, Saharan dust concentrations in T&T are expected to increase.

In its Weather Outlook for the period Tuesday 16th April to Saturday 20th April, the TTMS says there are currently mild to moderate Saharan dust concentrations.

However from Wednesday these concentrations are expected to increase, becoming moderate to high at times for the outlook period.

It also warns of the possibility of bush and brush fires, as well as landfill and forest fires during the ongoing dry season.

It warns that these may also contribute to the reduction of air quality, and is advising sensitive persons to take the necessary precautions.
