Director Prasanth Varma and actor Ranveer Singh are reportedly discussing a big-budget period film based on Indian mythology.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the two have found a production partner, with an official announcement expected soon.

Varma’s most recent film is “HanuMan” an Indian Telugu-language superhero film that focuses on a man named Hanumanthu, who gets the power of Lord Hanuman.

The film is the first installment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, which will reportedly feature superhero films based on Hinduism.

Pinkvilla says the film involving Ranveer is tentatively titled “Rakshas” and will be part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
