A 23-year-old man who stole a 16-year-old girl’s cell phone while riding his bike has been sentenced to four months imprisonment.

Kerron Charles, also known as Kerlon Salina, of Claxton Bay and Sangre Grande, was charged with simple robbery after being arrested on April 15th, 2024.

He was accused on snatching a Samsung cell phone from the teenager who was walking along Graham Trace in Sangre Grande on April 12th, 2024.

Police say Charles was detained by onlookers and later handed over to first responders who conducted a search and found him in possession of the girl’s phone.
