The MET Service has issued a Yellow Level Hazardous Seas Alert for the weekend.
It says a combination of moderate to strong low-level winds ranging between 37–46 km/h, along with northerly long period swells, are expected from near dawn on Saturday.
These can result in choppy seas as well as battering waves. Conditions can be exacerbated during high tides.
The Alert covers northern and north-eastern exposed coastal and marine areas of Trinidad and Tobago.
It will be in effect from 5am tomorrow, to 12pm on Monday.
