Denyse Plummer has not passed away

Denyse Plummer is not dead.

Reports of her passing began circulating on social media and social messaging platforms this morning.

However, 103.1FM News has spoken with NCC Chairman Winston ‘Gypsy’ Peters, who said he was in contact a member of her family, who dismissed the reports.

A message from her family was also posted to her Facebook page:

“A message from Denyse Plummer’s family:
Hi everyone. Denyse is alive and well, resting at home on this rainy Wednesday. We have received an overwhlming outpour of love and support today and for that we are humbled and very appriciative. It goes without saying we are quite disappointed the media would put this news into the public eye without proper verification, but what’s done is done. We just wanted to assure her family, friends and fans that she’s still with us and thanks again for all the love and support. God Bless.”

The Calypso Queen has been battling Stage 4 cancer in recent months, with a benefit concert held in May.
