China has donated 5,000 blood pressure monitors to the Health Ministry.

The donation forms part of an MOU signed in 2018 to strengthen cooperation in medicine and health.

The MOU also includes academic exchange programs, in order to strengthen and improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, trauma and related health issues.

Participating in the ceremonial handover yesterday were His Excellency Fang Qiu, Ambassador Extraordinary of the People’s Republic of China, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, and Fireign Affairs Minister Dr. Amery Browne.
