Mayaro MP Rushton Paray said the UNC has won the Mayaro/Rio Claro Regional Corporation by six districts to the PNM’s one.

He revealed that the following UNC candidates were successful at yesterday’s polls:
• RIO CLARO NORTH: Hazarie Ramdeen
• RIO CLARO SOUTH: David Law
• BICHE/CHARUMA: Charlene Moona
• ECCLESVILLE: Shaffik Mohammed
• COCAL/MAFEKING: Renelle Kissoon
• MAYARO SOUTH/GUAYAGUAYARE: Delaverne Lousion

Mr Paray also extended congratulations to PNM candidate Ryan Stuart who he says won the Mayaro North district.

The MP said that he looks forward to productive collaboration with Mr Stuart, with priority on serving the people of Mayaro.

Official preliminary figures are expected to be provided by the Elections and Boundaries Commission.
