From midday today, WASA began restoring water supply to persons served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant.

It says a power outage affected the facility around 2:45 this morning, with T&TEC completing repairs and the plant restarting around 8am today.

Affected areas are Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Tableland, Robert Village, George Village, Libertville, San Pedro, Clearwater, Rio Claro, Deep Ravine, Mayaro, Ecclesville, Cunapo Southern Main Road, Plum Mitan, Rio Claro Tabaquite Road, Tabaquite, Williamsville, Piparo, New Grant, Hindustan, Whiteland, Hardbargain, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Matilda, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Barrackpore, Cumuto, Borde Narve, St. Mary’s Village, Moruga, and Penal Rock Road.

WASA also says it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, including the water supply schedules to some communities.
