Finance Minister Colm Imbert has announced the waiver of Customs Duty, Valued Added Tax, and Online Purchase Tax for certain Sporting Equipment, Electric Vehicle Chargers and Parts.

This, he adds, is in keeping with the Budget Statement for the Financial Year 2025.

The Minister recently issued three legal notices enforcing the change, which came into effect on January 1st 2025.

In terms of sporting equipment, the list includes gear for cricket, football, gymnastics, boxing, tennis, archery and other disciplines.
