The Port Authority has confirmed an interruption to all areas of its operations due to “unavailability of labour.”

In a media release, the authority described an “unplanned absence of the full complement of labour.”

Workers having been striking over wages and health and safety concerns and calls have been made for government to intervene in the impasse.

The Port says it will provide updates at the situation changes.
