T&T volunteers will build new homes for 27 families in hurricane-ravaged Carriacou.

According to the Ministry for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, the Hands that Serve organization will be constructing prefabricated, fully furnished three-bed homes.

Members of the organization visited the island and looked at a number of possible locations for houses.

Almost 95% of the housing stock on Carriacou and Petite Martinique was destroyed during the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
