A Crown Point man has appeared in court for the murder of 56-year-old Deborah Gopaul.

Gopaul’s body was found in a burning vehicle along the Claude Noel Highway on the night of March 26th 2024.

An autopsy later showed that she died of asphyxia, which occurs when the body is deprived of oxygen.

49-year-old Hilton Ollivierre appeared today before Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami, who set the sufficiency hearing date for January 30th 2025.
