A 16-year-old boy was taken into police custody after his mother suspected that he was involved in a robbery.

According to police, a female victim reported that she had returned to her Maloney Gardens home on July 24th to find it broken into and clothing belonging to her son missing.

Later that day, a woman contacted the Maloney Police Station and told officers that she found her son with clothing that she did not purchase for him.

The boy was taken to the station along with the items of clothing which were then positively identified by the victim and her son.
