In the wake of a devastating tragedy at their victory parade yesterday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have announced a financial relief initiative for victims and their families.

11 people died due to injuries suffered during stampede-like conditions around the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The stampede was triggered by an overwhelming crowd turnout that outstripped security preparations.

RCB has pledged compensation to the families of the deceased, and launched a special fund, called RCB Cares, to provide support and medical assistance to more than 50 injured fans.
