“Ambiguous and uncertain at best” is how attorney Prakash Ramadhar described correspondence from the Energy Ministry on the ex-gratia payments for the families of the Paria divers.
In a media release today, Mr Ramadhar shared the correspondence from the Ministry, which requested to whom the payments should be made.
He told 103.1FM News that no information was given on a payment date.
Mr Ramadhar has taken the “don’t tell me, show me” stance, adding that a national countdown will be started to track how long it will take the Government to issue the $1 million ex-gratia payments to each of the divers’ families and lone survivor Christopher Boodram.
