Despite having already qualified for the T20 World Cup’s Super Eight, West Indies Captain Rovman Powell says it is important to keep playing good cricket in their final group encounter with Afghanistan.
Tonight’s game in St Lucia will not change anything in the group as both teams already secured their passage to the next round.
However, Powell says momentum is important and they want players going into the Super Eight with the winning feeling.
West Indies and Afghanistan play the final group stage game at 8:30pm, following the penultimate group fixture – a dead rubber between New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
