The Prime Minister has labelled the Opposition as “irresponsible” for its response to the replacement of the Strategic Services Agency head.

Retired Major Roger Best was sent on administrative leave last Sunday and Ambassador Brigadier General Phillips-Spencer was called from Washington to assume the role.

Speaking last night at the PNM’s meeting at the Tropical Angel Harps Pan Yard in Chaguanas, Dr Rowley criticized the UNC for its attempts to gain more information on the matter through Parliament.

Dr Rowley also used his speech to take aim at the UNC’s continued calls for government to address crime.
