The Opposition Leader has proposed a reduction in fines for certain traffic offences and the implementation of retraining for offending motorists.

Speaking last night at the UNC’s public meeting in Princes Town, Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar said there are video on social media showing drivers being harassed by licensing officers.

She added that harsh fines and suspensions should only be utilized for the most serious of traffic offences, including dangerous driving and DUIs.
