A 31-year-old man was shot dead in Petit Valley yesterday.

Around 4:45pm, loud explosions were heard at Matches Lane, Hummingbird Circular.

A short while later, Omari St. Rose was found with gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.

Responding officers, came across relatives attempting to take the victim for medical treatment, however he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile a 42-year-old watchman was gunned down in Upper Santa Cruz last night.

Around 7:40pm, loud explosions were heard in the vicinity of the WASA Treatment Plant on Chiquito Street and two masked men were seen running away from the scene.

Responding officers later found Rawle Jordan lying on his back with gunshot injuries to the left shoulder, right arm, and upper right chest.

He died at the scene.
