Tonight’s total lunar eclipse will be visible anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago from approximately 1AM.

In a social media post, Isa Mohammed of the Caribbean Institute of Astronomy explained what a lunar eclipse is and described the nuances of the event.

Mr Mohammed also explained why the moon takes on a red shade during an eclipse.
