Liquid cocaine seized by police

Over $3.6 million worth of liquid cocaine has been seized by police.

Officers were on mobile patrol on Friday, when they received information that the occupants of a Toyota Voxy vehicle were in possession of illegal narcotics.

Around 1:30 pm, they went to Chootoo Road, Aranguez, where they intercepted the vehicle.

They found several good items, however further inspections revealed that three “pancake syrup” bottles and three “coconut oil” bottles contained a total of 2.625 litres of liquid cocaine.

Its estimated street value is $3,659,040.

Three individuals were arrested: a 32-year-old from Claxton Bay and Bon Air Gardens, a 46-year-old from La Horquetta and a 55-year-old from Aranguez.

Commenting on the find was Police Commissioner Erla Christopher, who said, “We commend the officers for their vigilance and professionalism in this significant seizure. We remain committed to disrupting the drug trade, dismantling all drug trafficking networks and protecting our communities.”
