Japan has handed over emergency relief supplies to Grenada’s government in response Hurricane Beryl.
NOW Grenada says the supplies include tents, sleeping pads, tarpaulins, and water purifiers.
A handover ceremony was attended by a number of officials including National Disaster Management Agency National Coordinator Dr Terence Walters who said the supplies are truly needed in areas severely affected by Beryl.
Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency’s St Lucia office, Ichiro Mimura, committed to exchanging knowledge with the Caribbean as both Japan and this region are prone to natural disasters.
