Jail time for two men over tech store break-in

Two men, including a pre-school teacher, have been sentenced to two years in jail over a break-in at a tech store in Sangre Grande.

Police say there was robbery overnight on September 18th at Evolution Technology along the Eastern Main Road.

Investigations led to the arrest of 27-year-old pre-school teacher Colin Graham and 25-year-old construction worker Maurice Orosco of Oropouche Road, as well as Jehu Francois, a 37-year-old builder of Coronation Road.

Graham and Orosco pleaded guilty when they appeared in court and will serve 24 months hard labour.

Francois, meanwhile, pleaded not guilty has been remanded into custody with no bail until he returns to court on October 23rd, 2023.

Investigations were conducted by the Sangre Grande CID led by Inspector Vekash Ramkissoon and included Sergeant Nicholas Ramdeen, Corporal Kerry Ramnarine and PC Gideon Budhuram.
