Search and rescue officials searched throughout the night as they attempt to find three missing girls in Rio Claro.

According to the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, the missing girls are 17-year-old Kareena and 13-year-old Kashmera Baball and 13-year-old Akeila Maniram.

They were said to have left their grandmother’s home at De Melliec Street around 5:45pm yesterday.

In an update around 8am today, the HSRT said the three girls remain missing but that its members are on the field.

Commenting on the situation, Mayaro MP Rushton Paray says the community must unite in solidarity and extend support for the affected families.
