CWI members approve “historic” reforms

Cricket West Indies has approved governance reforms that it has deemed “historic.”

CWI says its full member shareholders gave the thumbs up on Sunday on the reforms, which include the introduction of a term limit of three terms of three years for President and Vice-President.

The organization says the change would allow for fresh leadership opportunities, promotion of continuity while preventing stagnation, and alignment of CWI’s governance framework with best practices.

It notes that the governance reform process has been a strategic priority, undergoing discussions and consultations over the past few years, including insights from the Wehby Report.
